Into the Hoop

In this era of cut throat competition, it is of supreme importance to provide opportunities to all to showcase their talents. Thus with the main aim of improving lifestyle and health among all citizens The Interact Club of Burhani Serendib School organised a project called “Into The Hoop” on the 28th of August 2022 at Burhani Serendib School. Into The Hoop was a 5v5 basketball tournament aimed to bring youth and adult teams together for fun, friendly competition.

The year started off with a bang as participants aged 12 and above got to enjoy a day of high octane basketball. Throughout the day viewers were treated to an excellent display of basketball and participants got their money’s worth as they fought closely contested battles which often went down to the wire. 

The participants stepped onto the court to set it ablaze with speed, endurance, magical footwork, dribble and much to the audience excitement, a nail-biting finish.

The ultimate battle got underway with high emotion and expectation as team “bola deepan” and “pick and roll” fought for the title of “Into the hoop” champions.  And after an exhausting day Team Pick – & – Roll emerged victorious and won the trophy.
