ICBSS – Rotary Citation for the year 2020/21

Interact Club of Burhani Serendib School has been awarded the Rotary Citation for the year 2020/21!

The Rotary Citation for Interact Clubs recognises clubs that support the Rotary Action Plan by completing activities that help increase the impact of Rotary, expand its reach, enhance participant engagement and increase the ability to adapt.

Clubs were given a year to achieve the said goals, such as:

• Leadership Development.
• Conducting Programmes for Young Leaders.
• PolioPlus Fund Contributions – spreading awareness of Rotary’s work to eradicate Polio.
• Conducting Service Projects based on the Rotary Areas of Focus, which are:
• Peace and Conflict Prevention.
• Disease Prevention and Treatment.
• Water and Sanitation.
• Maternal and Child Health.
• Basic Education and Literacy.
• Economic and Community Development. This is indeed a memorable milestone achieved by the Interact Club of Burhani Serendib School.
