Inter-House Karate Tournament 2021-22

The Inter-House Karate Tournament was held on the 31^st of March 2022 at the BSS Arena. Participants showcased impressive karate skills through the Kata displays which included a demonstration of Karate mastered by the participants. Intense fights under the Kumite category were held, with participants competing in the true spirit of sportsmanship. The event was graced by eight karate professionals who were judges for the day, along with Sir Shihan Pradeep Satharasinghe who is the Chief Sensei.

Our school Coach Samantha Sensei played an immense role in increasing the standard of karate within our school students throughout the years, and ensuring that the tournament was a success. Students from the entire school gathered up to cheer their houses.

The tournament concluded with Imadi House emerging as champions, and Najmi House as runners-up.

Everybody present to witness this remarkable event was proud of the way Karate has progressed in the school. We are indeed thankful to our Head of Sports, Ms. Shyama Cooray for raising the bar higher with her constant support and hope that our students reach glorious and great heights in the future.
