World Robot Olympiad – Sri Lanka Nationals 2026

The World Robot Olympiad Sri Lanka Nationals 2026, hosted by Burhani Serendib School, concluded successfully, bringing together some of the country’s brightest young minds in robotics and STEM.

Organized under the guidance of the Dawoodi Bohra Community, the event reflects a strong commitment to quality education rooted in innovation, ethics, and global collaboration.

The competition was honored by the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, who highlighted the importance of creativity, critical thinking, and technological skills in preparing students for the future.

This year’s theme, β€œRobots Meet Culture”, challenged students to think beyond conventional robotics and explore how technology can preserve heritage, enhance storytelling, and solve real-world problems. From smart hospital beds to AI multi-tasking robots, participants demonstrated how innovation can be both practical and culturally meaningful, reflecting the unique identities of their communities. The competition was made possible with the generous support of Third Bay Ventures, Haycarb Pvt Ltd, Adamjee Lukmanjee & Sons, Daily Mirror, and Lankadeepa, whose commitment to promoting STEM and innovation in Sri Lanka has helped nurture the next generation of creative problem-solvers ready to shine on the global stage.
