Burhani Serendib School has been extremely privileged to introduce karate during the last few years.

With immense enthusiasm and training from qualified coaches, the students have been able to learn, remarkably improve and confidently partake in Karate Tournaments.

For the third consecutive year our students have performed exceptionally well at the 9th International Schools Karate Tournament 2018.

We had 20 participants taking part for Kata Boys/Girls and Kumite Boys/Girls events.

We are extremely proud to announce that Taha Idris won a Silver Medal for Under 13 Kata Boys and Hussaina Firoz won a Bronze Medal for Under 11 Kumite Girls (-30kg).
Moreover, Mustafa Zoeb won a Bronze Medal for Under 14 Kata Boys and Mohammed Firoz won a Silver Medal for Kumite Boys and Bronze Medal for Kata Boys (Under 20).

We are hoping to have higher achievements in the upcoming years and hope that all students attain the highest belt during their time at Burhani and be the pride of our school.

The entire staff of BSS is proud to have such talented students who have added glory in Burhani!
