The Prize Giving is one of the most important events in the school’s calendar, celebrating academic success. The Prize Giving of Burhani Serendib School for the academic year 2017/18 was held on the 13th of October 2018 at the Defence Services College Auditorium. The event began at 2:30 p.m. by the traditional recital of the Qur’an and ended at 5:30 p.m.

The occasion was graced by Guest of Honor Respected Janaab Amil Saheb Khuzema Bhai Saheb Ismail Bhai Saheb Rashid and Chief Guest Mr. Suriya Bibile, who is the Territory Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives of Pearson Education.

Not only were the students awarded  for their academic excellence but they also showcased their acting prowess in the entertainment for the evening.
The students in the Junior section portrayed the power of hope and gratitude through the Roald Dahl Classic – ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ while the Seniors performed ‘The Dear Departed’ by Stanley Houghton where the audience was shown the chaos that the Greed for wealth can create.

Overall, it was an eventful evening which was enjoyed and appreciated by all who attended. This event additionally  brought great pride to all Burhanians and renewed optimism for the  academic year ahead.
